A whimsical tale of a young boy that makes amazing things by spinning the clouds into fabric. He only uses a few of the clouds to create items he needs, a hat for the summer and a scarf to use in the winter. A greedy king demands the boy make items for him and his family. More and more clouds are used and there is less and less rain. Fantastic illustrations are used in this book. An old fashion fairytale with a modern message this is intergraded well into the story.

The time is set in the late 1930's when an astonishing woman, Ruth McCombs Harkness, heads off on an expedition to find a baby panda bear. The story illustrations by Melissa Sweet are bright and colorful. The story is brief but just right for the intended audience-young elementary children.

Angelina wants a pet but pets are dirty. Enter a hard-of-hearing magic ladybug fairy godmother and the fun begins with misheard made up creatures and things coming out of Angelina's imagination. A fun romp.
