Who uses his imagination to go from a pup with a broke leg to Peke the Pirate with a peg leg hunting for buried treasure. Wonderful inspiration and encouragement from the unknown speaker with simple pictures that set the scene. A sweet charming story.

Abraham's childhood is shown in Europe and the barring of Jews from public places. Abraham's parents also told him he was "as good as anyone." A beautifully illustrated book about one of New York City's famous residents, the red-tailed hawk Pale Male who made his home first in Central Park and later built a nest near the top of one a Fifth Avenue apartment building. The residents of the apartment building complained and the management removed the nest. Which lead to protests by birdwatchers and citizens who enjoyed the hawks living in their city. Gorgeous watercolor illustrations that all will enjoy.
